Important Please Read:
*This Case is shipped Flat-Packed as default for all International Orders. If you would like the case shipped Fully Assembled, please contact CS@caselabs.net for a Shipping Quote.
* If the two tone option is selected, please specify which parts of the case are to be painted with each color. It is okay to specify the parts for one color with the assumption that the remaining parts are to be the other color.
* The Merlin Pedestal design allows them to be mounted on top of or underneath the case. They are stackable as well. When mounting above, the case will need to be taken apart.
* The Primer finish is a medium gray powder coat which is not cosmetic. It is meant to serve as a base coat for wet paint application (avoid using with water based paints). We will not guarantee color consistency, and some panels may appear with very small black spots. The Primer finish is not paint ready and must be prepped prior to painting. Could not compare with others.
Excellent case with plenty of room

The Merlin SM8 is not a cheap case, but you do get an excellent case in return. One that you can customize to your hearts content.
Compared to other cases I've used, the interior is very spacious (to the point of me needing an extension cable for my 8pin motherboard power cable!) and there is plenty of room for cable management behind the motherboard tray. The removable motherboard tray makes installing your motherboard very easy: just install it out of the case, then slide in the tray. Even big air coolers fit through the motherboard tray opening in the back of the case: my be quiet! Dark Rock2 had quite a bit of clearance while sliding in the tray.
The flex bay mounting system makes it easy to install an optical drive. The hardest thing was figuring out there are actually left side and right side mounting rails. The drive lines up perfectly with the front of the case.
My only complaint (and a very minor one at that) is that when you use a µATX board (as I'm currently doing), the cables for front panel audio and especially the front panel switches are a tad on the short side for proper routing.
Exceptional quality and simple, yet stylish looks

This is the last case you'll ever need to buy. I received the case "flat" (i.e. not assembled) and the packaging was excellent - you don't need to worry about any damage during shipping. The assembly instructions were clear and easy to follow and I enjoyed the entire process. The quality of all the pieces was excellent throughout - not a scratch, or a sharp edge, or a missed spot in sight.
The finished case looks great (if you want the minimalist look), feels extremely sturdy and has plenty of room inside for almost any water cooling setup you could imagine. There are plenty of grommet holes for cable routing, the flex-bay system is very convenient as it makes it extremely easy to rearrange your drives, front intake fans, front rad, or fan controller. I also particularly love the extra space at the back (behind the motherboard) - cable management is a breeze.
Finally, I do have one nitpick with CaseLabs - fan filters. Yes, I know they already technically addressed the issue, but I'll keep harping about it. I think they should reconsider adding fan filters as an add-on component. Fact is, it's very hard to find something that would work well, and look well, with the cases. The DEMCi filters are okay, but they're not perfect. If they were to do something themselves - something with the same high quality, and the look that matches the cases - that stuff would fly off the shelves.

The quality and design are without question faultless.
Theyve clearly thought about every single detail when designing this case and it really shows. just little things like how theve designed i/o so the cables enter cable management and never encroach inside the case.
I ordered this flat packed and everything was just so organised out of the box; beautifully labeled individual separate sealed bags in for me in order to build it myself.
Also, adding spare parts, but not just screws, spare closing mechanisms, its just really evident throughout that theyve spent the time to think of everything in order to deliver a great product.
Communication throughout my customized order process with these guys has been spot on. Im an international buyer and things could not have gone smoother.
There is nothing like it

I have had many cases in my twenty + years in IT and I have never seen anything like this type of case for a home PC. It's the best I have ever had!
Very nice case

look's great. Hard to beleave this case is this big. This is my first new case in 16 years I'm usually more worried about actual mother boards, CPU and video than cases until lately with the bigger heat sinks and more heat from modern computers these days. So if you want superior quality and a water cooling friendly case, then just buy one of these.

5 5 Stars Are Not Enough

Design and quality are the finest of any case that I have seen. The Lexus of cases....and there is a large gap in quality between this case and all the rest.
Would give more stars if I could

I read many reviews, looked through build threads and watched many videos before deciding to buy this case. The build quality is insane, options almost endless, expandability unrivaled and in my opinion a beautiful package.
If you want a top quality case, like the style and have the money to spend. Stop thinking about it and just buy the thing. It's not possible to go wrong with anything that has a Caselabs logo on it.
I don't have the room or the funds, but I already want another case just so I can build another PC that I don't need. Now that I think about it, I almost have enough parts to build another system....

No one makes a better case. Seriously. No one.
